Holtzhausen Monte Rosa

The Cape Yellow wood Monta Rosa is truly a unique time piece. The Cape Yellow wood is harvested from the Tsitsikamma Forests of South Africa after which the best pieces are selected to form a timepiece that will certainly become a family heirloom. The impressive clock features a curved base which contributes to the illusion of slow moving pendulum. It also features side glass panels ensuring that natural light can be used with maximum effect to shed light on the finely crafted embossed movement parts and accessories. The clock is also one of the few longcase clocks that can boast a Luxus dial with four cornices that also have raised borders which surround filigree netting that is also again present in the dial centre.

The feeling of an understated luxury dial is obtained through the usage of brass aluminium roman numerals which are skilfully set onto a dial ring made from brass. It also boasts the famous and reputed Hermle cable movement. The clock features a night silencing option and plays various melodies including St Michael, Westminster, and Whittington.

Holtzhausen Andes

Also a limited time piece the Andes has a Brazilian Walnut finish with a swan neck crown. Two columns balance the crown and two more crowns feature alongside the clock’s body. Solid panels float the sides. It is another clock that features the Luxus dial that has four cornices with raised borders. Also set to play the Whittington, St Michael and Westminster melodies the Brazilian Walnut version is darker in colour than the Cape Yellow wood ensuring that you can select the clock that will fit in with your furnishings the best.
